Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick’s Day is a very special day for Saint Patrick schools around the world.

Saint Patrick, our patron Saint was born in 387 A.D.in Britain. Saint . We celebrate his day and go to church to have special mass. Saint Patrick was all about faith his motto was who will separate us. In our  school we celebrate our Saint Patrick's Feast Day by going to church and playing activities that has something to do with Ireland and Saint Patrick. We are also put into groups that have Irish names, so we can play the activities. The names are Emeralds, Shamrocks, Limericks, Leprechauns, Donegals and Tipperary's.
The activities this year involved: painting a clover,  bowling, making book marks, tracing a clover and some other games. Through the activities the teachers gave us a certain score. The team with the highest score won. The Donegal's were the winners.

After the games we had a sausage sizzle. The delicious barbecued sausages were cooked by our school tuck shop boss Mrs Folden. After lunch we went to our classes to help clean up the mess left after the busy morning of activities.  It was fun cleaning up the class and talking about the fun across the day.

Today was truly a fun Saint Patrick’s  day because our teachers made fun activities and games for us to play.
